Sharon Cardiff
Sharon Cardiff is a singer-songwriter from Ottawa who continues to impress audiences with her emotionally-drenched, and powerful vocals.
Sharon Cardiff was born in Montreal, Quebec. At an early age she studied voice and piano at the Mount Royal College Conservatory of Music and in private lessons. Today she reflects on the impact of her early exposure to music; more specifically, gospel music. “One of my mother and father’s dear friends back then was Trevor Payne (Montreal Jubilation Choir). He had performed at my parents’ wedding with his group; ‘The Triangles’, and we were carried around from concert to concert as kids – and able to enjoy music at its finest. It was an incredible upbringing and one I cherish today.”
When her family moved from Montreal to Ottawa, Ontario, Sharon spent time with several local bands and enjoyed performing at weddings and fundraisers upon request. A defining moment occured at a friend’s wedding when one of the guests asked her if they could buy her cd. After graciously thanking the person and having to decline, she knew exactly what the future held - she wanted to work on her own songs.
In 2007 she joined forces with her brother Jason, (guitar, piano, backing vocals) to work on her self-titled, solo project. Available on iTunes.

"So c'mon and open the door, let's getaway...let's leave our troubles right here on the floor...you can cover them with my mistakes......
and heh, heh, now, no looking back, no time to waste...there's no seconds to lose...it's a risk we have to take......well, I think I know a good place to hide......so let's getaway..." excerpt from the song, 'Getaway'; written by Sharon Cardiff and Jason Salberg.
